  • Last Sunday our Messiah rehearsal was great!  Tonight’s the dress rehearsal!  David and Heidi’s family came over Monday morning and we had a good visit with them for a few days.  Carter looks just like David!  Carol took Heidi and I and the little kids to Fiesta Farms on Tuesday.  It was fun and I was glad Emma wasn’t afraid like she was last time.  She and Logan liked petting all of the animals and Emma had a good time on her pony ride and wanted to go again.  She still was hesitant, but was willing to be around the animals and pet them.  Cameron, Errolyn, and Logan tried to go to a cool museum later in the day, but the line was too long to get in and they left.

I started getting a little achy earlier in the week and by the time David and Heidi left I had a full on cold.  My congestion isn’t as bad anymore, but I was so achy.  I’ve been on a strict Advil and Vitamin C Regimen so I can still get things done.  Mike also got really sick… which is rare for him.  He and Logan both had fevers for most of the week.  Mike still feels pretty badly.  Cameron had his allergy appointment on Monday and they are taking him off of the allergy immunizations since they aren’t working.  SIX years of time and money down the drain!!  So frustrating!!!

We all went to Carol’s house for Thanksgiving which was nice.  She tried really hard to just let us talk which I appreciated since I wasn’t feeling well.  I think Mike slept the entire day on her coach because he felt so bad.  Janet’s family, Grandma, Kathy, Brian, Jim, and George were also there.  It was fun to talk.  Janet and I have some discrepancies about our childhood… I guess we’ll see in the last days what really happened.  I remember the fun times as well as the fighting times… but she doesn’t remember us ever having any fun times together which makes me sad since I have so many fond memories of us playing restaurant, or hairdresser, or house, or games, etc.  We enjoyed looking at Carol’s old photo albums.  We went to the duck pond after the meal and all witnessed a large duck killing and eating a baby duck.  It was traumatizing for the kids and they are still upset about it.  Between the duck killing and the turtles giving each other “piggy back” rides at Fiesta Farms, it was an interesting week.  We left Carol’s pretty late because Janet and I had to watch X-factor and it was delayed by a dumb football game.  :)   Carly Rose is the best!

Janet’s family, Grandma, and Jim came over again on Friday and we had a nice visit.  We haven’t done much since because Mike and I both got worse after everyone left.  He and I felt a little better today, but not well enough to go to church.  Logan and Emma are sick so we stayed home with them and dropped Errolyn and Cameron off.  Mike and I have to run the dress rehearsal tonight which we don’t feel up for doing… thank goodness for IB Profen, Sudaphed, and hopefully a little divine intervention to get us through the evening.

  • Hesitant around animals? Now, who does that remind me of? Hope you feel better soon. Love you all.
